I'm really sorry I seem to have fallen of the face of the Earth, but I'm around. I've actually been crafting a lot. So that's what the next few posts will be about.

First up! A shelf.

BFF Katie had this but when she moved back to Seattle she decided to give it a new home with me.

It's from IKEA so it was very plain. I sanded the entire thing first to get the finish that was on it off, or at least as much of it as I could get.

Then I started to stain. I was too lazy to do it the right way so I really just ended up painting it with the stain.

It left it with more of an antique-y distressed look which isn't too bad.

I left it like that for a few months and then a couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted to mod podge some fabric onto it so it finally ended up looking like this.
I'm pretty pleased with it.

I'm still alive. I promise. But I no longer have internet which makes updating this a tad bit difficult.

First things first.

I moved. Like out of Provo, but still in Utah. I live all by my lonesome and I freaking love it.

Not the best pictures, especially since I'm blogging from my phone but its a start. Hopefully soon I'll post pictures of the finished product, even though its technically not finished and probably never will be. Ha.

I have a confession to make.

I took up a new hobby. You may be appalled. You may judge me. But oh well.

Groupon had a fantastic deal on Pole Fitness classes and yep, I signed up!

It may be the hardest workout I've ever done. Even after classes in which I don't feel like I've done much, my body aches in places I didn't know could ache.

My hands are calloused.

My thighs are bruised.

And my shins are destroyed.

But all in all...it's a great time!

That's all you get. Routine videos don't go on the internet.

Forget the fact that I'm no longer in high school. Or that I've graduated college and this activity seems totally appropriate.

Katie and I spent an entire Saturday at the Utah State Fair Park partaking of the Warped Tour.

It was fun/exhausting and hellish hot.

We of course had to sport our Vans.

I mainly just went for Yellowcard and TakingBackSunday.
I freaking love Yellowcard and seeing the live version of MakeDamnSure was fantastic as well.

At the end of the day I had this gnarly tan line to show for it.

Once upon a time I got sent out to Michigan for work.

This was my first time seeing Chicago. Granted it was from the air, but still looked really pretty. Someday I will explore.

An entire week in Michigan and this is the only photo you get. Sparty and me. Go Green!

It was a good experience and I actually really enjoyed it. Thank you work for giving me a paid vacation, except for the part where I had to go to work.

A week ago, Katie and I went to some garage sales. I found a great mirror I'll maybe blog about later...

We also found this little store in Highland/Alpine (I have a hard time distinguishing where one city begins and the other ends.)

Dear Lizzie is a cute boutique but really expensive.

I loved this lamp, but not $300 worth.

I will totally do this when I have my own house but buy them from D.I. for a fraction of the cost.

 I loved this picture

and these shoes were really interesting weird, but really plushy and soft

Before I left the MTC I got this picture frame. They were getting rid of a bunch of old artwork so I scored some sweet frames.

This was way back in November.

At the beginning of February I finally got around to sanding this thing and then it sat around for months.

The weather was finally warm enough this weekend for me to stain it.

so I got to work putting the stain on

 and then wiping it off

When it was finally dry I had to measure out the matting

and viola!
yes I'm a creeper...

I'm quite proud. It was a solid first attempt.

What does someone who has graduated college, only has a job, and no family or kids, do on a typical weekday night?

Yep, exactly that...only less cute.

Putting down the hammer...we may have gotten into The Avengers a little too much...

I also randomly decided I need a print of Starry Night by Van Gogh in my room

A slurpee is required for late night picture hanging sessions.
Also please notice me actually using one of the 11 green vases I own.

Last but not least...I finally framed my print of the Dallas Temple

I have accumulated so much stuff
